Ones Filled Online Form
If candidate has filled Online Application Form either for MCM or SGS scholarship and got a Application ID than donot fill Application form again and again,candidate can continue through that Application ID.

Apply for Scholarship-2010-11
The proposal has been send to Government Of India for approval.Hence the 1.Candidates who has fail to apply for Merit cum Means Fresh Scholarship; can apply for State Government Scholarship and Institute can scrutinized for State Government Scholarship.2.Candidates who has fail to apply for Merit cum Means Renewal Scholarship; can apply through candidate login for Merit cum Means Renewal and same will be scruitinize by institute.

Scruitinize,Unscruitinize
Institute that comes under DTE has to Online Scruitinize the received application form.The institute that not comes under DTE has to Mannualy scruitinized the online filled application and forward to the concern address for Online Scruitiny.Uncruitinize application form will not be considered for merit list.

Institute Code
Old institute code(i.e.of year 2009-10) is replaced by New Institute code for year 2010-11.

Forgot password
INSTITUTE that comes under DTE can give a password to candidate who has forgot their own password through INSTITUTE LOGIN and on clicking retrive password in a institute pannel.

ATKT
Candidate whose scholarship is sanctioned in year-2009-10 and has got ATKT and amitted in 2010-11 can also fill the Renewal form for the same scholarship

Candidate who has forgot the Application ID and Password can Know the Application ID by refering the selected candidate list of Year-2009-10 and for Password go through candidate login and insert personal details or got from institute

For Academic Year-2010-11
Online Application Form for Minority Scholarship for A.Y.2010-11 is started.Candidate whose scholarship is sanctioned for A.Y.2009-10 can apply for Renewal (if eligible )through candidate login by using the Application ID and Password of A.Y.2009-10.Fresh candidate can apply through candidate registration.

IFSC Code in Bank Details
IFSC Code of bank branch is compulsory for Transferring of Scholarship Amount

Updation of A/C number
Candidate whose account number is not of core banking has to submit the core banking A/C number with IFS Code of that bank where the candidate has opened the account.For updation of A/C number submit it to concern college.College that comes under DTE can update through their institute login.And the institute that not comes under DTE can submit the bank dateails of candidate to the concern Regional Office of DTE for updation.

In case of Joint Account
First name should be the name of the scholarship holder in bank in case of Joint account.

Verification of Bank details
Institues are directed to get the bank details with IFSC code of the candidates and update through their Instiute Login

Opening of Bank A/C
The name on account should be match with the name as in application form submitted by the candidate for scholarship.

Rejection of Candidates
Institutes are directed to reject the Dummy/Duplicate candidates through Institute login.No form should be unscruitinized.

Photo
Need of only one photo that should pasted on Application Form(No additional Photo Required)

Admission Through Management
Candidate who has taken a admission through Management Quota can also fill application form.

SC/ST/OBC/EBC Concession
If candidate is getting more amount in Minority Scholarship then Candidate should apply and return the SC/ST/EBC/OBC Concession if Minority Scholarship is sanctioned otherwise the candidate SHOULD NOT APPLY.

If there is direct second year admission than select direct second year course from course list.

Bond Paper
The Affidivat is to be given on minimum Rs. 10/- Non Judicial Bond Paper( need not be notorised)

Renewal of Scholarships
If the Result is not declared or withheld, enter the Marks obtained as 0 out of 1. The Institute should Scrutinise the Application Form with Remark as "Result Withheld / Result not declared"

Frequently Asked Questions(FAQs):

Question: Where should the student submit the Completed Application Form?

Ans: The completed Online filled Application form is to be submitted by the candidate at the Institute. The Institute that comes under DTE should scruitinize the online application form through institute login and password provided by the DTE and forward the scruitined application form along with report to the concern Regional offices of DTE.And the institute that not comes under DTE should manually scruitinze the online application form and submit to the concern regional offices of DTE.

Question: I am a SC Candidate converted to Buddhist. Can I apply?

Ans: Yes. The Candidate converted to Buddhist religion can apply as Buddhist. The necessary document should be submitted to the Institute.

Question: Where is this Form available?

Ans: The Form is available on the Website www.dte.org.in/mcm/ (For manual Submission) under Download Section or else you can fill the Form online and submit the printable application form. You can submit the form provided by Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India also.

Question: How should I submit the Affidavit?

Ans: The Affidavit is to be given by the Parent/ Guardian. It should be as per the guidelines of Stamp Act. It is given by the Tahsildar also. The gross Income and declaration of not availing any other scholarship/concession must be mentioned on it. Please attach the ORIGINAL Affidavit along with form, otherwise the Application shall be rejected. If the Rs.10/- Stamp Paper is not available, Rs.10/- Revenue Stamp would be permitted.

Question: I have completed the MBBS and now doing Internship. Can I apply for the renewal / fresh scholarship?

Ans: No. This scholarship is not for the Internship.

Question: My parents gross income is Rs. 2.60 Lakhs and net income after deduction is Rs. 1.40 Lakhs. Am I eligible?

Ans: NO. The Gross Income is to be considered. If the Father and Mother are employee, then the total of gross income of both the parents is to be considered.

Question: I got scholarship for undergradute course in the year 2007-08 and got admission to Post Graduate course for the year 2008-09. Should I apply for Renewal or Fresh Scholarship?

Ans: Candidate has to fill the Fresh Application form for Scholarship and Undergraduate percentage shall be considered for generating merit list.

Question: Can I fill the application form for Renewal of scholarship if - result is withheld / not declared / examination is not conducted?

Ans: The candidate must pass the previous examination for renewal. Hence as soon as the result is declared, the candidate must submit the duly filled application form through the institute to the Nodal Officer till last date for submission.

Question: What is the procedure if there is no college signature on Receipt in Acknowledgement ?

Ans: Candidate can attech a xerox copy of passbook/bank statement showing amount received of MCM scholarship.

Question: What is procedure if the Institute does not provide its own bank details or bank details of Institute are not known? (Optional)

Ans: Serial number 21 of form is to be filled by institute.

Question: I am studying in MBBS. I got amount from Government for research work. Can I apply for this Scholarship?

Ans: Yes. The Research Work is not to be take as Fee Concession or Scholarship/ Stipend. Hence any candidate availing the financial assistance for research work, can also apply for the Scholarship.

Question: I am studying in New Delhi but my domicile state is Maharashtra. How I should send the form for Scholarship?

Ans: The Application form is to be forwarded through the College to the Nodal Officer, Merit-cum-Means Based Scholarship I/c Director, Technical Education, 3, Mahapalika Marg, Opp. Metro Theatre ,Elphinstone Technical Highschool , Mumbai - 400 001 .

Question: I got scholarship for 2008-09. Now I have passed the previous examination with 48.52% marks? Can I apply for renewal as I do not have 50 % marks?

Ans: The candidate must pass the previous year examination and should be on roll of the institute for the academic year 2009-10 for renewal. The percentage of Marks obtained in previous year examination is not a creteria for renewal. Please apply for renewal.

Question: What is the criteria for generation of merit list if candidate got grade instead of percentage in examination.?

Ans: The candidate should convert the Grade Points into the equivalent percentage marks and attach necessary supprting documents for conversion from the competent authority.

Question: Should candidate attach a proof of Religion ?

Ans: The Religion is mentioned in the Leaving Certificate / birth Certificate of the Candidate. It shall be the responsibility of the Candidate and Insitute to furnish correct information based on the documents available with the Candidate /Institute. or Religion proof and Income proof can be declared in a Rs.10/- Stamp paper

Question: Which percentage is considered for generation a merit list, if candidate completed H.S.C.and Diploma and got admission in UG degree course?

Ans: The percentage obtained in H.S.C. (XII) are considered for UG Courses. For admission to Direct Second Year of Degree in Engineering/Technology, percentage marks obtained in Final Year Diploma Courses are considered.

Question: Should Candidate fill form if doing part time course?

Ans: Yes.

Question: How should a candidate fill percentage of marks, if there is a grading system?

Ans: Candidate can fill a equivalent percentage given by college/university.

Question: Can a candidate fill the scholarship form, if he/she has recieved admission through MANAGEMENT qouta and has a exact 50% of marks in H.S.C.?

Ans: Yes,candidate can fill form.

Question: Aggeregate Percent means final year OR all three year of diploma course?

Ans: Final year percentage.

Question: I have passed the previous examination with ATKT. Can I apply for the Renewal?

Ans: Yes. The candidate must be on Roll of the Institute for the academic year 2009-10.

Question: Which fees are to be included in the Course Fees Item?

Ans: The Fees collected by the College should be written in the Course Fee item, such as Tuition Fee, Development Fee, Examination Fees, Library Fee. The fees such as Library Deposit, traveling Expences, Room Rent, books expenditure should not be included.

Question: Does outside Maharashtra institutes are eligible for State Government Scholarship?

Ans: Yes, Institutes Outside Maharashtra are eiigible for SGS (State Government Scholarship)

Question: Is diploma course are eligible for SGS?

Ans: Yes, diploma courses are eligible for SGS.

Question: Is Jain community eligible for SGS?

Ans: Jain community is eligible for all Maharashtra government schemes but not for any central government scheme implemented through state governments and Union Territories

Question: Can I use Rs.10 revenue stamp, if Rs10 stamp paper is not available?

Ans: Yes, Rs.10 revenue stamp will be acceptable

Question: I need to apply for renewal of scholarship under this scheme. Do I have to provide all documents once again?

Ans: For renewal of scholarship only income declaration and previous year marksheet is to be attached along with application form having Form No. of A.Y. 2008-09.

Question: I am a domicile of Uttar Pradesh and studying at College of Engineering, Pune in Maharashtra. Where I sholuld submit the Form?

Ans: No, You cannot apply for State Govrernment Scholarship, it is only for Maharashtra Domicile Candidates.

Question: I have Registered Online, Can I change My details after Registration?
